Professional Spin Technique (ISU Standards):
Join our group online spin technique classes conducted in an Off-Ice (SFP) format (2 sq. meters needed). We thoroughly analyze the proper technique and movement biomechanics: from the Entrance and Centering to Axis control and the aesthetics of the Exit. You will develop rotational sharpness (snap), core strength, static endurance, and coordination required to execute spins at high velocity with precise position definition, strictly following ISU requirements.
Curriculum: Basic Positions & Difficult Variations
Basic Positions: Upright Spin (USp), Sit Spin (SSp), Camel Spin (CSp).
Difficult Variations: Layback (LSp), Biellmann, Donut, I-spin, Shotgun.
Flying Spins: Flying Sit (FSSp), Butterfly entry, Flying Camel (FCSp).
Features: Change of edge, change of foot, difficult arm/head positions to increase the Level.
Aiming for Level 4 & Positive GOE:
Spinning is about point accumulation. Judges evaluate not just revolutions, but the Difficult Variations. Our methodology allows you to perfect position changes, centering, and flexibility off-ice, ensuring you achieve the maximum Level 4 and high Grade of Execution (GOE) scores in competitions.
Training Format Text:
Step-by-step position refinement, Active Flexibility development for Biellmann and Layback, spinner practice, and live axis correction by the coach via Zoom.
Methodology & Results:
Comprehensive Development: We train sharpness (Snap) for spin entry, static endurance (Static) for holding difficult positions, strength, and coordination.
Skill Transfer: Perfect muscle memory of the entry and snap off-ice guarantees stability on skates.
For All Levels: The workload is suitable for young athletes, Adult Skating enthusiasts, and high-performance skaters (Elite level).
Required Equipment for Spin Training
Spinner: Mandatory! The main tool for centering and axis stability.
Sneakers: Athletic shoes with good foot support.
Yoga Mat: For stretching and static positions.
Yoga Blocks: To assist with "Difficult Variations" (Biellmann).
Resistance Bands: For controlling body lines and arm positions.
