Figure Skating Jump Technique Training:
Join our group online figure skating jump technique classes. Conducted in an Off-Ice (SFP) format, these sessions are perfect for home training (approx. 2 sq. meters needed). We cover the entire training spectrum: developing explosive power (height), rotational speed (snap), axis correction, and vestibular balance. You will refine every phase of the jump—from take-off to landing—learning new jumps with correct technique and eliminating ingrained errors that are difficult to correct on the ice.
Curriculum: From Axel to Quadruple Jumps
Edge Jumps: Axel, Salchow, Loop.
Toe Jumps: Toe Loop, Flip, Lutz.
Biomechanics (The Foundation): Mastering the correct Axis and tight Air Position is the foundation for stable jumps of any difficulty, from single to quadruple.
Proper Technique: High GOE & Safety
Regardless of your level, technique determines the jump quality (GOE). We focus on height, flow, and clean landing. This allows competitive skaters to score high, while adult & beginner skaters avoid under-rotations (<) and jump effortlessly, ensuring joint protection.
Training Format:
Step-by-step teaching of correct jump technique (from simulation to combinations), clear video analysis, learning new jumps, live error correction by the coach via Zoom, jump-timing adjustment, and much more.
Methodology & Training Results:
Transfer to Ice: Off-ice muscle memory (swing, picking, rotation) translates directly to automatic on-ice performance.
For All Levels: Our methodology is safe and adapted for both children and adult skaters.
About the Spinner: Highly recommended for practicing centering and balance.
Required Equipment for Jump Training
Sneakers: Must have good cushioning for safety.
Jump Rope: For warm-ups and explosive power.
Spinner: Essential for vestibular training and balance.
Resistance Bands: For arm speed and quick snap.
Yoga Mat: For floor exercises.
